MARCUS GARVEY TRIBUTE PAPER

The second volume of the Vantage Point Zine series aims at giving a short overview over Marcus Mosiah Garvey’s life and mission. It follows Marcus Garvey’s journey from Jamaica to England, to the United State’s main black capital Harlem, NY and further. It gives insight into the experiences that motivated Garvey to establish the United Negro Improvement Association and his philosophy of black empowerment, as well as his prominent role within the faith of Rastafari. This is a tribute paper, to a man who led the biggest black movement in United States history, bringing back the connection between Africa and the African Diaspora.
