The first volume of the Vantage Point Zine series gives an overview over Malcolm X’s life and mission. It follows Malcolm X’s journey from being Detroit Red to Malcolm X to Omowale, to El Hajj Malik El Shabazz. I have tried to show how Malcolm X’s sincere dedication to the cause of African American liberation in the United States as well as his political aspiration to unify the diaspora with the homeland of Africa infused every step and every decision he took. This zine touches the founding of the Organization of Afro-American Unity and its relation to Malcolm X’s assassination a few months later. This is a tribute paper to a courageous and brave man, whose life has served and serves as an inspiration to change the world.
